System S.p.A. is in Fiorano Modenese, the heart of the Italian ceramics district. Established in 1970, it immediately became a leader in the ceramics sector and made its strategy a winner in the logistics, electronics and, then, photovoltaic sectors. Today, System is recognised globally as a source for industrial automation and offers vanguard solutions to the market to anticipate and satisfy future needs, thanks to its ongoing research and experimentation. Translating its success into numbers, System Group has 1100 employees, 60% in Italy and the remaining 40% in branches around the world. The technological efforts made, have led to it continually investing 5% of its turnover in research and development; this has brought important results: from the numerous patents registered to profitable collaboration with the world’s main scientific research centres.   Alongside the technological Fiorano pole, 10 plants covering a 120,000 m² area, and Salvaterra dedicated to the Modula business unit, System has an international presence with 29 branches in 23 countries.
